Branch Exits Astoria in Undisclosed Deal, Sets Sights on Los Angeles Expansion
By Meredith Collier
Austin socialite N. Robert Branch has exited cosmetics company Astoria in a late-2025 transaction for an undisclosed sum, marking the end of his ownership role in the brand he helped build into a recognizable name in Texas’ fashion and beauty scene.
Astoria, founded under Branch’s leadership, developed a line of cosmetics that gained traction locally for its minimalist branding and premium positioning. The company became closely associated with Austin’s growing fashion ecosystem, often viewed as part of the city’s shift toward more design-driven consumer brands.
Branch’s public profile rose alongside the brand. In April 2024, he attended Austin Fashion Week representing Astoria, an appearance that placed him among emerging local figures blending entrepreneurship with fashion culture. His presence at the event was seen as a signal of Astoria’s intent to engage more directly with the style and retail community.
By late 2025, Branch finalized his exit from the company in a private agreement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Neither Branch nor Astoria has commented publicly on valuation or buyer details.
Following the exit, Branch is reportedly relocating his focus to Los Angeles, where he is preparing new ventures spanning broader consumer and lifestyle categories beyond cosmetics. Early indications suggest a shift toward scalable, multi-brand development rather than single-label operation.
Astoria continues to operate independently following the transition, while Branch sets his sights on LA to expand his burgeoning fashion empire.
