About Writers' Desk Studios
Writers' Desk Studios is built for readers who want one serious scan of the country's most important coverage. We bring together reporting from leading national and international outlets in a single, organized front page. Every item names its source and links to the full piece on the publisher's site. When we can present article text here for a cleaner read, we do — while the original outlet remains the place for updates, corrections, video, and the definitive version of the story.
Our role
We curate and present work from established news organizations; the journalism credit belongs to the byline and outlet you see on each story. Questions of fact in a linked report should go through that publisher's own corrections process. From time to time we publish original work under the Writers' Desk Studios name — those pieces are clearly marked as ours.
Who you'll read here
Our lineup includes NPR, Reuters, the BBC (U.S. and Canada reporting), Politico, The Hill, and The New York Times, among the organizations that shape the national conversation. Ordering and mix reflect what those outlets are publishing now so the page stays current as the day unfolds.
How often the page updates
The front page refreshes on a short cadence (about every five minutes) so major new stories surface quickly. What you see at any moment reflects the latest snapshot we've pulled together; if an outlet revises a headline or summary, our page may catch up on the next update.
Reading stories on Writers' Desk Studios
Some article pages include body text shown here for readability. That material remains subject to each publisher's copyright and terms. Paywalls, access rules, or technical limits may mean we can only show a summary — in those cases we send you straight to the original to finish the piece.
